Alireza Baradaran-Rafii
Alireza Baradaran-Rafii is a Professor of Ophthalmology, working at the Cornea and Refractive Surgery Service, Department of Ophthalmology, Shahid Beheshti Medical University in Tehran, Iran. Dr. Baradaran-Rafii is also a part-time researcher at the Ophthalmic Research Center and a founder of the Ocular Tissue Engineering Research Center at Shahid Beheshti Medical University. He finished medical school at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran (1985-1992) and his residency was in the Department of Ophthalmology, Imam Reza Medical Center, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Mashhad, Iran (1995-1999). Dr. Baradaran-Rafii’s clinical fellowship in Cornea, External diseases and Refractive surgery was at Labbafinejad Medical Center, Shahid Beheshti Medical University in Tehran, Iran (2000-2001). Then, he worked as an attending surgeon at Glaucoma Service (2002-2004), and completed a Ocular Surface Diseases fellowship program at the Ocular Surface Research and Education Foundation, Ocular Surface Center in Miami, Florida (2004-2005). Dr. Baradaran-Rafii presented in an Observership program in Cornea, External diseases and Refractive surgery at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in the University of Miami School of Medicine (July to September 2005). He is now working as a referral specialist at Labbafinejad Medical Center, ocular surface clinic. He has published nearly 70 international and 100 domestic papers.
