Ying Jie
Ying Jie, MD, PhD, is a Vice Co-Chair of TFOS China.
Dr. Jie is a Professor and Director of the Department of Cornea and Ocular Surface, as well as the Deputy Director, of Beijing Institute of Ophthalmology, Beijing Tongren Eye Center and Beijing Tongren Hospital of Capital Medical University. He was a Senior Visiting Scholar at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of Harvard Medical School, and the Shiley Eye Institute of the University of California San Diego. Dr. Jie is a member of the Asian Dry Eye Association and Beijing Medical Association, and has leadership roles in the Chinese Medical Equipment Association and the Chinese Allergy Society. He has received funding for five National Natural Science Foundation projects, and is the recipient of the Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award and the Science and Technology Progress Award of the Chinese Association of Integrated Medicine. Dr. Jie owns eleven Chinese patents. He has been invited to speak in over 20 international conferences and has performed more than 5,000 complicated ocular surface surgeries and corneal transplantations. Dr. Jie's clinical and research interests include dry eye, corneal transplantation, allergic conjunctivitis and myopia, and he has published more than 100 articles.
